Need More Room To Display Those Family Treasures
There’s nothing worse then not having enough room to display your family collectables and treasures. Everyone want to highlight the things that are part of their heritage. By installing some new freestanding or wall mounted shelving, you can do just that.
It’s become so easy for anybody to hang a wall mounted shelving unit. All it takes is a couple of commonly found tools, like a screw driver, drill and maybe a hammer. Companies like Rubbermaid have made their organizers completely idiot proof…meaning anyone, no matter their experience, can install successfully.
When you decide that you’re going to make that change in your bedroom, pantry, family room, basement, workshop or garage, then you’ll easily find a compete package that can give you everything you need. From the closet organizers that can be expanded and customized for any closet layout, to that perfect looking, and perfectly organized garage that you’ve only seen on TV.
Everyone seems to gather so much stuff over their life time, and a lot of things that they wish they had the room to show off. Well if you really want to show your collectables and such off, then putting up a simple, yet elegant floating shelf will give you the space that needed.
A floating shelf is really just that, they do not show any of their brackets, so they actually look like they are floating on the wall. A wall mounted bracket that the shelf just slides onto is the key to their great looks. You won’t see one tiny piece of the normally ugly looking hardware. The bracket gets mounted on the wall, then the self slides onto two or three posts that protrude outwards from the wall. The shelf itself can be looked into a stable and sturdy position by a hex cam or a screw that can be accessed from the bottom of the shelf.
Although the floating shelves have a very nice eye appeal, they are not able to handle a lot of weightt. Be sure to check with the manufacturers recommended weight allowances before you go stacking that old set of Britannia encyclopedias on them.
